Intelligent Systems Lab: the proposed automated surveillance system involves an existing marine platform and a quad-copter that can extend the sensor range of the surveillance boat. The idea is that the surveillance boat carries the quad-copter to the vicinity of the surveyed area and the quad-copter launches and patrols that vicinity to collect surveillance information. After collecting the information, the quad-copter returns to the boat and performs an automated landing.

Sensory Motor Integration Laboratory (SMILe): Billy and Charlie are two cute walking robots which are controlled using a smartphone. Charlie, the second prototype, is able to walk up slopes steeper than 45 degrees and climb obstacles almost as tall as him. Charlie's reduced size allows him to keep walking even if he falls backwards. Leg sprawling, i.e. rotating each side inwards or outwards enables two walking gaits: a noisy gait fit for rough terrain and climbing, and a faster, smooth gait for flat terrain.
